We also host Private Virtual Butterfly releases.. for anyone who wants to release a butterfly into our field of sunflowers.. but for any reason is unable to physically attend. We are now able to Livestream a personal and private moment between you and your butterfly before She flutters off to find a Sunflower to pollinate. ♥♥

In 2014 we had our very first butterfly release in our field of Sunflowers. Now it’s become an annual tradition our girls look forward to more than Christmas.

Yes, they are costly dear things… They are fragile live butterflies shipped the day before from our Certified Butterfly Breeder in Quebec so that we can ensure our butterflies are pest and disease-free and raised with so much love.

It’s not a group butterfly release… where we let a whole bunch of butterflies go at once in a big cloud of fluttering wings.. although.. we can arrange that for you with enough notice to grow our little friends. *

Our butterfly release is more of a personal moment in our field of sunflowers with your very own butterfly. Hold it in your hand, and make a wish before you let it go, or whisper a message for your new friends to take to a loved one who has since passed, or just enjoy the view as it flutters off, dancing above the sunflowers until it finds the best one to gather nectar from. **

It is a beautiful moment with a beautiful creature, in a beautiful field, with a beautiful view, surrounded by the people you love, laughing and smiling, making memories that will last a lifetime.

**They come in their own little boxes.. but don’t worry… They don’t feel a thing. They are in stasis, soundly asleep, with their little box perfectly protecting their wings. We keep them cool, which keeps them sleeping until the warmth of your hands gently wake them. No Butterflies are harmed in this process.
