Just good light\, a beautiful place\, and photographs that feel like the people in them.\n \n\nMany visitors know me from the sunflower maze — but photography has been part of my life much longer. \nI grew up in my family’s photography business\, Barndoor Studio\, where my mother spent decades creating family portraits\, graduation photographs\, wedding images\, and treasured keepsakes for families throughout the community. \nLong before Dakeyne Farm became known for sunflowers and kites\, cameras\, darkrooms\, and photo albums were part of everyday life. \n\nThis fall\, I’m offering a limited number of portrait sessions at the farm. Bring your own kite\, borrow one of ours\, or simply find a comfortable spot to sit and watch. \n \nThe hill at Dakeyne Farm is shaped like a natural bowl. The breeze moves through it in a way that feels made for kite flying — and the view down to the tidal river below is something else entirely.\nCome for an hour or stay the whole afternoon.
