Slow Morning Sundays in the Sunflowers

Held on our historic farm beside the Avon River, these quiet mornings invite you to slow your pace and come back to the landscape around you. Sunflowers open toward the light. Cattle graze quietly in the distance. Kites drift across open skies. The valley wakes gently with the morning sun.
Just wandering paths, warm light, wildflowers, soft wind moving through the fields β and time to simply exist for a while.
Spend the morning getting a little lost in the sunflower maze, wandering garden paths with coffee in hand, following quiet trails along the river, or stretching out on a blanket beneath open sky. Some guests arrive with sketchbooks and cameras. Others come barefoot with a book and stay longer than they planned.
This is the softer side of sunflower season β slower, quieter, and meant to be felt more than rushed through.
Many guests let Slow Morning Sundays drift naturally into a full day through the valley. The drive itself becomes part of the experience β winding through farmland, tidal marshes, old river roads, and small hidden corners where it feels like time moves differently.
π Check local tide times before you go
Settle in on the other side of the river β where the view across the water looks back toward the farm you started your morning on.
Some Sundays may also unfold into riverside music or community gatherings along the route. Check local event pages while planning your visit.

The Avon River changes with the tide, and every Sunday in the valley carries its own pace, light, and atmosphere. For the fullest experience, check local tide timing before your visit β especially if you’re hoping to catch the tidal bore at Mantua Bridge β and leave yourself plenty of room to wander slowly between stops.
Slow Morning Sundays are best enjoyed without rushing anything.
